The Oracle back in the water

Yesterday McLeod Cranes lifted Oracle back into the water and what a change from when we lifted it out. This is going to be one awesome vessel to fish from when they finish those final touches. The Oracle team and Hutcheson Boats have done a great job and were a great group to work with making for a smooth lift.

Bring on the Ocean

Pictured Southern Ocean Marine attach the keel to a new yacht. Our GMK5170 - 170 tonne crane is on the left with the GMK5130 - 130 tonne crane is on the right. This yacht by Southern Ocean Marine looks amazing. We started off the morning quitely and within a few hours had drawn quite a crowd as people gathered to see the yacht placed on its keel. Great atmosphere, awesome yacht, great lift to be involved with. The weight of this lift was 50 Tonnes.

NZL-81 Lift

An interesting project early Thursday morning the 130 had the opportunity to lift NZL 81 out of the water and onto Sulphur point ready for shipping. Many people may remember NZL 81 from the Americas Cup. A quick google search tells the story. All the more reason to wish the current team the best of luck! Check out the Team NZ website here.
